What we collect

• We do not collect your audio files — they stay on your device
• We do not use cookies
• We do not use analytics or tracking scripts
• We do not store any personal data
• We do not use advertising networks

How the tool works

• When you load an audio file, it is read directly by your browser — it never leaves your device
• All trimming, processing and encoding happens locally using your browser's built-in Web Audio API
• When you export a clip, the file is generated in your browser's memory and downloaded directly to your computer
• Closing or refreshing the page clears everything — nothing is stored or cached remotely

Local storage

We store one small item in your browser's localStorage: your light/dark mode preference. This is a single text value ("light" or "dark"), stored only on your own device, and never transmitted anywhere. It is not a cookie and does not track you.

Third-party services

AudioTrimmer loads the following resources from third-party CDNs when you visit the page:

• Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) — to load the Space Mono and DM Sans typefaces. Google may log your IP address as part of this request. See Google's privacy policy.
• Cloudflare CDN (cdnjs.cloudflare.com) — to load the lamejs MP3 encoder library. Cloudflare may log your IP address. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

These are standard CDN requests made by your browser and are outside our control. No audio data is involved in these requests.

UK GDPR & your rights

Because we do not collect or process any personal data, the majority of UK GDPR obligations do not apply to this service. We have no data to access, correct, export or delete on your behalf. If you have any concerns, please contact us.

Changes to this policy

If we add features that change how data is handled (such as advertising or analytics), this policy will be updated and a cookie consent mechanism will be added before those changes take effect.
